Frustration Is...

I was so pleased when I finished preparing the setting triangles for the centre block of my new(old) Vintage Tiles quilt. I took some photos to show you, and discovered I had the stripes going in the wrong direction on two of the triangles! I couldn't believe I'd been so stupid!! It's a good job Mom was in the next room or the air would have been blue! LOL Luckily, they were only glued and not sewn yet, but it was still really frustrating. I swear, I think I am spatially challenged! I always found geometry difficult when I was in school, and maybe that was the reason.
Here are the photos, and as you can see, the yellow rose background has the stripe going horizontally instead of vertically!

I'll have to peel the applique pieces off, and recut the background fabric. Here's hoping I have enough fabric.
I've still got a few more blocks to design for this quilt, but I would really like to finish it by the end of March. Here's hoping.
Bye for now. Chat with you later

Oh Dorothy!!! I hate it when I make mistakes like that. Honestly, I don't know that I would redo anything, sometimes a little oops like that stays in my quilts. :) The blocks are gorgeous.

Question did you lay them all out to see if that is the way it should be to alline with your lines. You may be right after all you know if it goes on the top left corner it may go the way you want it too the strips will be up and down..unless you don't want that gorgeous rose on that side..
Your blocs are gorgeous! I love the added touch with the itty bitty heart on the tail of the big heart and perfect for Valentines day..LOL

Hi Dorothy,
What a shame! All that work and then to have to start over.
The heart block is gorgeous. I'm so looking forward to seeing more of your quilt.
Nice pic of you in the sidebar :)
Now I have a face to put with the name.

Oh, glad you had not sewn it. How frustrating for you. I hate it when I mess up.

Thank goodness it wasn't sewn down yet Dorothy! Those kind of things are indeed frustrating... I know! 8-)
Hope it is going better now.
