"Sweet Nostalgia" - The Finish

I had hoped to have the top quilted before the "reveal", but I'm sorry I couldn't manage it. I will post a photo when it is quilted.
I have used Prairie Points to finish the edges of my quilt, and normally, they are not added until the top has been quilted, but I wanted you to see the effect. The Prairie Point edging is optional, and some of you may prefer to just add a binding.
Here are the links to download the Finishing Instructions for the "Sweet Nostalgia" B.O.M. from either Scribd or 4Shared. I will leave the instruction available for download until November 15th, when the last of the blocks is removed.
Please remember, each block is available as a free download for 3 months, after which it will be available to purchase. If you have missed any of the blocks and wish to purchase them, just send me an email. The link to my email is on the left hand side of the screen, or in my profile.
I hope you have enjoyed stitching these blocks along with me, and for those of you who haven't had a chance to get started on them yet, I hope you will share your photos with us later. Don't forget to check out the photos in the "Sweet Nostalgia" Flickr group.
And for those of you still looking for the Cosmo embroidery threads I just learned that Super Buzzy is now carrying the full line.

Stay tuned for my next B.O.M.
Bye for now.

Bye for now.

"Sweet Nostalgia" - Hide and Seek

It's so hard to believe a year has gone by and I'm posting the last block of my "Sweet Nostalgia" B.O.M. I hope you have enjoyed stitching these blocks as much as I did.
Thank you to Marina, Jennifer, and Hazel who have shared photos of their blocks in the "Sweet Nostalgia" Flickr group, and to Karine and Carrie who have emailed me their photos so I could share them with you. I hope more of you will share your photos over the next few months.
I'd also like to thank everyone who has taken the time to leave me a comment.
Also, I'd like to thank Nireko of the Lecien Corp. who so generously provided the wonderful Cosmo threads for this project. If you haven't tried them yet, I really hope you will have the opportunity to try them in the future. They are wonderful to work with, and have a lovely silken sheen.

A photo of the quilt and the finishing instructions for the quilt will be posted in the next few weeks.

Here are the links to download the pattern. Scribd or 4Shared

Please remember, each block is available as a free download for 3 months, after which it will be available for purchase.

On the home front, Daisy is doing fairly well, only one more week before she gets the stitches out and we can remove that horrible cone from her head. She is banging into everything with it, and I have the bruises on my legs to prove it! lol
The hardest thing is keeping her from running or trying to jump on the couch to cuddle with us.

Bye for now.

Sorry I've been M.I.A. lately, but things have been a little crazy around here.
My daughter's lovely 4 year old Chocolate Lab, Daisy, had been having a problem with one of her back legs, and the Vet decided surgery was necessary. My daughter, Alison, took her to the surgeon and a date was set for last Monday. Well, the day before the surgery, Daisy hurt her other back leg, and it was a more serious injury, so they ended up having to operate on that leg instead!
We've got her home now, but because she can't manage any stairs, or risk walking on hardwood floors, she'll be staying with us for the next few weeks. The plan is to hopefully get this leg fixed, and then they will operate on the other leg. Thank goodness for pet insurance!

Isn't she lovely? She is such a good, sweet natured dog, it just doesn't seem fair that she should be having all this trouble.
