Blogger's Quilt Festival

It's that time of the year.  Amy, of Amy's Creative Side, has organized this Festival for the past few years, to coincide with the Spring and Fall Quilt Market.
Amy's Creative Side

As you all know, I love all things applique, so it makes sense that for this year's Spring Festival,I share a photo of my favorite applique quilt "Vintage Tiles".  I've been caring for my elderly Mother for the past 6 years, and started this quilt during one of Mom's hospital stays.  Applique is so portable, and helps to pass the time.  This is Mom's favorite quilt, and she has always been an inspiration to me.
Why don't you drop by Amy's blog and have a peek at some of the fantastic quilts that have been entered this time, or better yet, take a few hours, and browse them all!

I don't do much applique, but I love it and would love to learn how to do more. I'm torn between the beauty of traditional applique methods and the raw edge machine applique that I'm learning now. I love the symmetry and decorum of this quilt.
