I Got Side-Tracked

I know I said I was going to clean up my messy sewing room, but, what can I say, I got side-tracked. I took one look at the mess, and decided I couldn't deal with it right now, so I just shut the door! LOL Take a look at the photos and you'll know what I mean.!

This is what I did instead.

I had these Mill Hill kits that I had bought a number of years ago, and decided to get them made up for Christmas presents this year. I still need to get a frame made for one of them, but that's 2 gifts off my list!
I'm going to try and tackle the room today. The sun is shining so I'm hoping it will help to keep me motivated. We'll see! LOL
Chat with you later. Bye for now.

I know how you feel... I am trying to motivate myself to get my projects picked out, maybe cut, and all packed up for my weekend retreat, but it ain't happenin'!!!! 8-/
Things get done all in due time... if not rushed. 8-)

Hey Dorothy! Oh! That 'sidetrack' faerie comes to visit me when I think of cleaning MY sewing room, too!! Bad faerie! Tee! Hee! Hee! I usually find something in the clean up that sends me off on a tangent or sparks an idea for a new design - cleaning can wait, I'll only mess it up again anyway! Tee! Hee! Hee! Happy stitching! Bear Hugs! KRIS

dorothy it just looks to me like a designer is hard at work and this is what happens.. if it was neat as a pen then you would not be working in your favorite retreat. I love to see that it is being used.. don't look at what you think as a mess.. look at it as a creator's heaven.. cause I would love to be a fly on that wall!!

If you enlarge the photos it doesn't look all that messy, especially when viewing only one photo at a time. I too fight the messy fairy - she comes in when I'm not looking and spreads things all over the place - and never picks up after herself. At least, for now, she's quit hiding things where I can't find them - except for my favorite pair of knitting needles. :-)

Well, I say you got your priorities in good order. You MUST finish those items so that there are a few less things left in the sewing room. Right!

Does anyone have a clean and tidy sewing room? I'm sure if you had tidied it when you said you were going to that you would have pulled everything back out by now!
Love those Mill Hill kits.
