Just a quick note to let you all know what's been happening. Mom came home from hospital about 4 weeks ago and is doing okay. She isn't very mobile, but is able to move short distances using her walker. We've got a hospital bed for her, which helps with the pain from the compression fracture in her vertabrae, and a nurse comes in to check on her 2 or 3 times a week.
The whole hospital experience was a nightmare and has left me feeling very low. I haven't had the inclination or the time to get back to my quilting but hope things will settle down soon.

Thank you everyone for your messages and well wishes, they really helped!

So sorry to hear that your mom has been through so much. I hope she will do better now that she is home again.
I can imagine you are exhausted with no time to think about quilting.
Take care of yourself.
Sending good thoughts your way.

Have been thinking of you as I quilt my Sweet Nostalgia quilt.
I hope your mum (and you) picks up now she is at home. It can be very taxing when you have someone in hospital. Fingers crossed that things get better.

I know this is a hard time for you - glad your mom is back home and doing ok. Maybe soon you can take some time for yourself and enjoy a little quilting - or at least look at some quilting books or magazines for fun.

I'm glad to hear she's doing ok, is the hospital bed a memory foam or something? I've never been in a comfortable hospital bed - around here they make them hard so you want to get out of them as quick as you can. I hope and pray things settle down for you, Dorothy, and that you can get back to your quilting!

OOoh...Dorothy... just being in a hospital, day after day, visiting, takes it out of you. I hope you find time to rest up yourself. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mum.

Hi Dorothy! I hope things are getting better for you around your home, and with your mother's health and mobility. Remember to take care of the care giver, OK!?!
